From the house of Ravalgaon, these different colorful wrappers added that much more fun to the whole sweet experience.




SUGAR BOILED ORANGE CANDIES
From the house of Parle, These Orange sweet candies were inexpensive and available widely in all neighborhood shops.



PAN PASAND CANDY
From the house of Ravalgaon, These candies had a unique flavor of ‘paan’, a rage in the 90s. The taste of pan packed in a candy! Chewing pan was not allowed by our parents. But no one would mind us eating the Pan Pasand.. Bachpan ka meetha paan. These are also available online




MANGO BITE CANDY
From the house of Parle, These candies dont need any introduction. It is India’s first mango candy. This candy was supposed to be eated slowly. A variant of ‘Kachha Aam flavour’ was also out in the market too.



KOKA NAKA CANDY
From the house of Nutrine, is was the Coconut flavored candy. It had great taste and fit in right with the time-pass culture of the 90s.



MAHA LACTO / LACTO KING
Lacto King and Maha Lacto - These were Milk based candies. Before the Eclairs and Alpenliebe took over the market, Lacto was the king.



HAJMOLA - DIGESTIVE TABLETS
This Candy from Dabur, is still going strong. We used to pop a Hajmola candy after every grand meal. Hajmola has evolved and is now available in flavours of Aam and Imli. Newer pack designs of Hajmola is also available in the market now.



SWAD - DIGESTIVE CANDY
From the house of Panjon, this candy was massively popular. These digestive candies tasted distinctly differently from their competitors Hajmola because they were sweeter and a lot tangier. Not sure if these ever helped in cleansing our digestive systems, but were addictive as hell. They are still found in some small shops tucked away in the corner of a neigbourhood, and also, you can also them online these days.





ROLA COLA CANDY

From the house of Parle, These colorful candies made the world of the 80s and 90s kid magical. We use to fight with our friends over our favorite color and flavor.



CHATPATI - SWEET SOUR ORANGE/BLACK FISH CANDY
Children from the 1980s and 1990s will surely remember these unbranded candies from their childhood. (chatpati candies) If you had nothing but a few pennies with you, you could do with these assorted sweet sour candies.




ECLAIR TOFFEE
Nutrine & Cadbury introduced the first chocolate candy with an actual chocolate filling inside. One of the first Eclairs in the Indian Market, this toffee is very popular among everyone since childhood across the country. Now a day, it is updated to Bigger sized Chocolair. MELODY - Chocolaty Toffee
Do your remember this tag line.. Melody hai Chocolaty !!! We all remember those famous lines from the Melody Ad. We loved Melody because it melted in our mouths. And you can still buy Melody here. Melody was still our favorite, even before it was actually chocolaty.



COFFEE BITE TOFFEE
The question still remained unanswered.. Coffee ya toffee? This was the eternal question. The television commercial too was based on the the argument – coffee or toffee? It was one of the tastiest candies around. It was a Coffee in a toffee. This immensely popular toffee was a shot of coffee for the kids. KISMI BAR
From the house of Parle. This candy was launched as a bar and was later sold as toffees. Cardamom flavoured and priced at barely Rs.2 a bar, this was a popular choice for those last few days of the pocket money. Kismi bar was an all time favourite. Similar to Chatmola, Those digestive chatpati goliyan. When childhood knew no Ayurveda, but still love it.

There were tasty and digestive candy. It was natural, no artificial flavour added. We were as happy as the kid while having these.
